Yo internets.
I’ve recently discovered I have a new food allergy. I am allergic to milk and milk products. No, I am not lactose-intolerant because lactose intolerance doesn’t make you wheeze or get allergy-induced shiners. I thought I was done with this food allergy crap after finding out about my Celiac disease but apparently if you have one food intolerance, chances are you’re going to have another one. It’s like some deity with hemorrhoids is saying “You like cheese, right? Chocolate? Sorry. I know you were getting happy again so I decided to nip it in the bud before you were too joyful. Have a scary allergic reaction. Oh, and when we were making the foods you people like to eat? Yeah, we put this in absolutely everything you don’t have to make yourself. Keep telling yourself that at least I didn’t take corn away from you… yet.”

Well, I have an idea of how I borked my fanlists so I am probably going to be keeping them. Probably. I just need to post on a forum and ask if there is any way I have borked the fanlists that I am unaware of.
It has been very spring-like here both yesterday and today. Sort of warmish and breezy but with all the cloud-cover of the last bit of winter. We went for a walk yesterday and I found out something from a friend of the family that at first pissed me off, then depressed me, and now I am just sort of depressed and going- well, I should have known it would be like this.

Well, the living room is nearly all painted. We have a little problem in the yard now though- If you consider a 6′ deep, tree-devouring hole little. It certainly is a problem. It happens to be right over the county tile and though the county is responsible financially for repairing this, I have horrors thinking of how they will be ruining our yard to do so. The hole ate our black hills spruce but I never cared for it anyway… never told Eloric that but I just don’t much care for slow-growing conifers.

I’ve been trying to get back to my old self, the self I had before this winter and all hell breaking loose. It seems that my bitterness just piled up over the winter and I’m still running with it, trying to express it or out run it. I put some hawthorn blossoms in brandy yesterday in time for the Full Moon and I swear I felt something shift, so maybe I’ll stop being such a raging bitch now that the season seems to have changed. I’ll try talking about hawthorn blossom brandy versus hawthorn berry brandy tomorrow perhaps. Maybe that will move things along too.
I didn’t work on the Faery Oracle cards this winter either but now I get the urge since the weather has turned. The problem is, I didn’t do a whole lot of introspective stuff during the cold times either, just ran away from all of the stupid crap going on in my family. I guess one excuse could be that there was a ton of nastiness going on but the truth was that I didn’t want to bother because I was tired of feeling anything and simply wanted to be numb. So I’m a bit behind in “waking up” this year and it’s entirely my fault. I am feeling like working with the cards now although probably not as ambitiously as I had set myself up for before winter hit. I suppose we shall see.
Tomorrow or so we are going down to the river to pick a pound of violet blossoms to make violet syrup. Good thing too as I am down to a quarter of a cup of last year’s batch. Mmmmm. So good in Assam tea.
