This is a fanlisting for the song Babylon from David Gray's 1998 album White Ladder.

There are three versions of Babylon that I am aware of: Babylon, Babylon II (acoustic version), and lestyn Polson's remix Babylon Radio Edit One.

I first heard Babylon in passing on Saturday Night Live. I must confess that I didn't like it at the time but something told me that I would shortly become obscessed with this song and David Gray. Sure enough, three days later, I'm obscessed, have forgotten the song title and the artist and frantically search the internet. I saw an ad on Tripod.com and figured it out. I've been in love with the song (and Dave) ever since. Sometimes it would come on at work when I was having a bad day and truthfully, it was the only thing good about the whole day. Babylon always makes me feel better, makes me feel happy, no matter what.
